UDHAMPUR, June 14: The Red Ribbon Club of GCW Udhampur under the convenorship of Dr Kewal Kumar in collaboration with NSS unit of GCW Udhampur and J&K AIDS Control Society celebrated World Blood Donor's Day 2022.
A National webinar on the topic, "Scientific insights about the blood constituents, donation and transfusion" was organised in which Principal of the College Prof Dr Monika Sharma was the Chief Guest.
Dr. Surender K Sharawat, scientist from Department of Medical Oncology, AIIMS New Delhi was invited as a resource person who delivered an online lecture on blood donation and transfusion. The lecture was attended by more than 100 participants including students, NSS volunteers of the college and staff from various colleges and universities of J&K and abroad.
Principal of the College, Prof Dr Monika Sharma said that everybody should actively donate blood to save precious lives. Prof. Yash Paul conducted the proceedings of the Webinar and Prof Sanjeev Upadhayay presented formal vote of thanks
Among others, Dr Sanjeet Kour, Prof Ashni, Dr Mool Raj, Prof Suneel Singh Barheyan, Dr Amit Kumar, Dr Shaveta Sharma and Prof Pooja Bharti were present. |
