| World Blood Donor Day celebrated by NSS GGM Science College | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 14: World Blood Donor Day was celebrated on 14th June 2022 under the patronage of worthy Principal Dr. Ravender Tickoo and guidance of NSS PO Dr. Deepali Mahajan. The aim was to raise the global awareness of the need for safe blood and blood products for transfusion and of the critical contribution voluntary, unpaid blood donors make to national health systems. NSS GGM Science College organized an online awareness campaign with the Theme"Donating blood is an act of solidarity. Join the effort and save lives." NSS PO stated that the voluntary blood donations play in saving lives and enhancing solidarity within communities spreading the message the importance of contribution of blood donors in saving lives and improving the health of others by donating blood regularly. NSS volunteers made posters and thanked the blood donors who had saved countless number of lives. The volunteers raised the awareness of the need for safe blood and blood products and to thank voluntary, unpaid blood donors for their life-saving gifts of blood. |
