DC Poonch finalises arrangements of 'International Yoga Day'

POONCH, June 14: Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Inder Jeet today finalized the arrangements for ensuing “International Yoga Day” being observed on June 21 at National Level here at Conference Hall of DC complex Poonch.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Abdul Sattar; Principal Government; Degree College Poonch, Prof. Mussarat Hussain Shah, DPEO, Narinded Mohan Suri, Comanding Officer Jand K BN NCC, Gouttam Singh, District Ayush Officer, Dr Rakesh Kumar, Medical officer Ayush, Dr Abineet Raina, Dysp DAR, Sachin Gupta, CEO Municipality, Mohd. Rashid DYSSO, Project Director DUDA, District Officer NYK, District Manager NRLM, Incharge Sport stadium besides other concerned officers.
While reviewing the arrangements, various issues were discussed include; cleanliness at the venue, PAS System, security arrangement, Ambulance arrangements, traffic arrangement etc.
It was decided that the event will be organized at Sports Stadium Poonch where arrangements for large gathering will be made to commemorate the day.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner directed the department of AYUSH to deputed the Yoga instructors, while the health department was asked to ensure participation of trainees and staff along with deployment of Ambulance.
The concerned stakeholders departments were asked to make all the necessary arrangements.
The Police department was asked to make provision of security especially at the venue.
The Principal Govt Degree College Poonch will ensure the participation of students involving NSS/NCC volunteers.
The PHE, Executive Engineer was directed to look after the water arrangements.
The Deputy Commissioner stressed for generating mass awareness about benefits of yoga and all out efforts to ensure mass participation of the people.
The Education Department will ensure the maximum participation of students government and private educational institutions.
Cleanliness and Sound System plus wide publicity of the event are to be ensured by the Municipality and Information department respectively.
