Early Times Report JAMMU, June 14: Students and Staff of BGSBU, College of Nursing (Jammu) celebrated World Blood Donor Day. Students and faculty of the college  participated in an event Day organised at Govt. Hospital Gandhi Nagar, Jammu. Prof Akbar Masood Vice-Chancellor of BGSBU  congratulated the students, faculty and staff of the   Nursing Colleges for the initiative. Prof.Akbar emphasized on the need for regular blood donation which is crucial to saving human life during medical emergencies.  Prof. Akbar encouraged the participants to take a pledge to donate their blood and give a gift of life to others as this single gesture can create a million smiles.  Prof. Akbar said that this day raises awareness of the need for safe blood to thank voluntary, unpaid blood donors for their life-saving gifts of blood.  On the occasion, students and staff of BGSBU Nursing  College Jammu  registered  and voluntarily donated blood  for people who need blood in emergencies. The event was supervised by Dr Titi Xavier,  Associate Dean, Nursing Colleges BGSBU and coordinated by  Pushpendra Kumar, Principal of BGSBU, College of Nursing, Jammu. |
