PTTI hosts lecture on quality investigation, VIP security, police public relations

VIJAYPUR, June 7: Sharmsher Singh Parihar, a retired Deputy Superintendent of Police (Dy.SP), delivered an insightful lecture to the police personnel and trainees of Police Technical Training Institute (PTTI) Vijaypur. The lecture focused on investigation techniques, moral ethics, VIP security, and police public relations. Parihar, renowned for his expertise in investigations, shared his experiences and knowledge with the attending police personnel.
During his lecture, Parihar emphasized the importance of quality investigation and highlighted the five pillars that investigators should focus on: analyzation and instrumentation of the crime scene, gathering information, conducting effective interrogations, proper supervision, and ensuring a strong prosecution. He urged the police personnel to carefully examine crime scenes and meticulously collect and preserve evidence for thorough investigation.
Furthermore, Parihar highlighted the significance of maintaining cordial police-public relations, as it often provides valuable leads for solving cases. He also addressed the do's and don'ts that should be followed by Personal Security Officers (PSOs) while performing their duties.
In the valedictory address, Shiv Kumar, SSP, Principal of PTTI Vijaypur, expressed gratitude to Parihar for sparing his valuable time to deliver the lecture, which aimed to educate and raise awareness among the police personnel and trainees of the institute. He emphasized that the lecture would greatly benefit the trainees of the PP Photography course in terms of evidence collection from crime scenes and would also provide valuable insights to the trainees of the PSO Refresher course for ensuring the security of protected individuals.
The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Devinder Gupta, Dy.SP (R&D), Kuldeep Raj, Dy.SP (Indoor/Tech.), Inspr. Surrinder Paul, Inspr. Mulkh Raj, Inspr. Ram Lal, Inspr. Javed Hussain, Inspr. Anil Kumar, Inspr. Kanwal Raina, Inspr. Himanshu Dutta, Inspr. Bhopinder Singh, and Narinder Kumar.
