6/7/2023 10:29:08 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 7: Gaurav Gupta, former General Secretary of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Jammu, commends the government of Jammu and Kashmir for launching the Jambu Zoo, a highly anticipated tourism project in the region. In a press statement, Gupta highlights the significant potential of Jambu Zoo in bolstering the Union Territory's economy. He believes that this ambitious project will not only boost the tourism industry but also create new avenues for economic prosperity.
Recognizing the capacity of Jambu Zoo to stimulate various sectors of the economy, Gupta expresses optimism about the generation of employment opportunities, growth in ancillary industries, and increased revenue. He further emphasizes that the presence of such a world-class facility will position Jammu as a prominent destination on the global tourism map.
Gupta credits Lt Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Secretary Arun Mehta for their sincere efforts in facilitating these developments. He urges the government to enhance the visitor experience by introducing additional facilities such as more battery cars and exempting parking charges and entry fees for a minimum of two months to attract a higher footfall.
Acknowledging the positive changes in Jammu and Kashmir since the repeal of Article 370, Gupta expresses confidence that various tourism-oriented projects, including the retreat ceremony at Suchetgarh border, musical fountain at Bahu Fort, Bahu-Fort Mahamaya ropeway project, Yoga Centre at Mantalai, Vertical Garden in Jammu, and the development of Jammu under the Smart City initiative, will contribute to the region's economic growth.
Gupta reiterates that Jambu Zoo, along with the opening of the Tirupati Balaji Temple in Jammu and other tourism projects based in the region, will establish Jammu as an independent tourist destination. He emphasizes that the people of Jammu have long been affected by Kashmir-centric policies, and the dream of making Jammu an independent tourist destination can only be realized through the efforts of the Central Government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Encouraging the residents of Jammu to actively support the people-centric policies of the Modi Government, Gupta urges their participation in making Jammu an independent tourist destination, a dream cherished by the people of the region for decades.
