Karra briefs high command about resentment among Cong leaders over alliance with NC

Jammu, Jan 17: Tensions within the Jammu and Kashmir unit of the Congress party have been escalating, with several senior party leaders expressing their growing discontent over the alliance with the National Conference (NC).
The concerns have been raised as many Congress members are calling for the party to officially distance itself from the NC-led alliance, citing ideological differences and dissatisfaction with the political dynamics.
Tariq Hameed Karra, the president of the Jammu and Kashmir Congress, has reportedly sounded a note of caution to the party’s high command, warning them about the brewing discontent within the state unit.
During his recent visit in Delhi regarding inauguration of new office of the party, Karra discussed J&K's situation with central leaders
Sources close to Karra have revealed that he has conveyed to the leadership in New Delhi that the current political alliance with NC may jeopardize the party's prospects in the upcoming elections.
In recent weeks, many Congress leaders have expressed frustration over the alliance, particularly accusing the NC of overshadowing their party’s voice in the region.

As of now, no formal statement has been issued by the Congress high command regarding the situation in Jammu and Kashmir. However, sources suggest that the party leadership is closely monitoring developments in the region and may soon take a more definitive stance on the alliance with NC.
