"The Khelo India programme is a game-changer for Indian sports. It is designed to strengthen the grassroots sports ecosystem, ensuring that young talent receives the necessary guidance, exposure, and opportunities to excel. We must continue to inspire youth to engage in sports, keeping them away from negative influences and channeling their energy into productive avenues," said Mr. Saraf.
He also expressed his gratitude to Mr. Jatinder Bajwa, President of the Wushu Federation of India, for his leadership in elevating Wushu’s status in the country. Additionally, he lauded Mr. Kuldeep Handoo, Dronacharya Awardee and Chief Coach of the Indian Wushu Team, for his invaluable contribution in grooming players who have brought laurels to India on international platforms.
Concluding his address, Mr. Saraf pledged to continue his efforts in engaging more youth in sports, reinforcing the importance of discipline, dedication, and perseverance in building a strong sporting nation.
