Pahalgam Terror Attack

Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 29: Security agencies have identified 14 individuals from Kashmir who are suspected of providing logistical and operational support to Pakistani terrorists responsible for the recent terror attack in Pahalgam on April 22. Intelligence reports indicate that several Over Ground Workers (OGWs) had active mobile devices within the Baisaran Valley at the time of the attack. These individuals are believed to have facilitated the terrorists by providing accommodations, logistical assistance, reconnaissance data, and secure passage through critical areas.
In light of this revelation, law enforcement and security forces have commenced extensive operations across South Kashmir to apprehend the accused and dismantle networks supporting cross-border terrorism. Evidence such as intercepted communications and financial records has been pivotal in linking the suspects to the incident.
Efforts are concentrated on key districts, including Anantnag, Pulwama, Shopian, and Kulgam, where raids, preventive detentions, and interrogations are being conducted to neutralize the broader support system. Enhanced paramilitary deployment has been implemented to ensure stability during these operations and prevent further escalations.
Authorities have underscored the significance of severing local support structures that foreign terror outfits increasingly rely upon to perpetrate attacks. The identification of these individuals is regarded as a critical step in mitigating future threats and fostering peace in South Kashmir’s volatile regions.
Electronic surveillance data, including mobile signal tracking, played an instrumental role in confirming the proximity of the suspects to the Baisaran Valley during the attack. Officials maintain that ongoing investigations are likely to yield additional arrests in the coming days.
The security forces remain resolute in their objective to neutralize local networks supporting terrorist activities and restore normalcy in the affected areas.
