Kolkata's Hindi Poet Dr Sunil Kumar Sharma to Receive 'Sutra Samman 2025' 10/9/2025 9:23:39 PM KOLKATA, Oct 9: The Sutra Committee has resolved to confer the prestigious 'Sutra Samman' for the year 2025 upon the young poet from Kolkata, Dr. Sunil Kumar Sharma. This award, instituted in the memory of folk poet Thakur Puran Singh and conferred annually for poetry, will be presented to Dr. Sharma on 25 October 2025 at Kondagaon, the cultural town of Chhattisgarh. The felicitation will take place during a literary gathering jointly organized under the aegis of 'Sutra' and the literary magazine 'Kaksad'. Dr. Sharma is recognized as a promising voice in contemporary Hindi poetry. His verse captures the raw textures of everyday life with the spark of hope.
