JAMMU, Feb 14: With the joint collaborations of Dr. Ashutosh Gupta Principal & Dean GMC Jammu and Dr. Abdul Hamid Zargar DHS Jammu, a cervical cancer awareness and HPV Vaccination camp was conducted on 14/02/2026 at CHC Sohanjana, by a team of doctors from Preventive Oncology Unit, State Cancer Institute ,Jammu, lead by Dr Kiran Bala, Associate Professor, Deptt of Community Medicine, GMC Jammu. Dr Harbaksh Singh CMO Jammu provided support for the smooth conduct of camp. Dr Vijay Sharma BMO, CHC Sohanjana, Mrs. Pushpa Devi (LHV), Manjeet Kour (LHV) and Pritam Kour (BAC) and other paramedical staff ensured over whelming support for the camp. A total of 100 young girls in the age group of 9 to 15 years were vaccinated with nonavalent HPV vaccine. Dr Sakshi Manhas, Dr Simranjeet Kour, Dr Faizan Ahmed, Dr Fardeen Ahmed, Dr Bilqees along with paramedical staff (Ms Nisha, Ms Nishat and Ms Shahida) were part of the vaccination team. Dr Deepak Kumar MS SCI Jammu provided the Logistic support for the camp. |
