Nasir visits Kargil, attends Namaz-e-Janaza of Qamar Ali Akhoon

SRINAGAR, Feb 14: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Senior leader and Advisor to the Hon'ble Chief Minister, Nasir Aslam Wani along with Provincial President Kashmir Showkat Mir attended the Namaz-e-Janaza of senior party leader, Additional General Secretary and former Cabinet Minister Qamar Ali Akhoon at his native village Sangrah Sankoo in district Kargil.
On the occasion, Nasir addressed the gathering remembering Late Akhoo's lifelong service, humility and unwavering commitment to the people of Karil. He also remembered with fondness and deep admiration his contribution to the governance and administration of J&K. Leaders expressed solidarity with the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.
Later, both Nasir Sogami and Showkat Mir visited Qazigund and conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family including MLA Devsar Peerzada Faroz. They remembered Peerzada Gh Ahmad Shah as a towering politician who was humble and connected to roots. "His contribution as Forest Minister will remain unparalleled," Nasir said. They offered fateha and prayed for peace to the departed soul and strength to the family to bear the loss.
