Now paramilitary forces offer lucrative jobs in valley for doctors

Early Times Report Srinagar, Jan 11: Just a few weeks after the railway wing of the Jammu and Kashmir Police offered job openings in the valley, paramilitary force is offering jobs for doctors in the same region while Jammu craves for jobs. Officials said the paramilitary has offered as many as eight jobs of "General Duty Medical Officers" on contractual basis in Kashmir province. The openings for the areas of Handwara, SinghPora, Baramulla, Kupwara, Panthachowk, SHQ Bandipora and Bandipora are offering lucrative jobs with salary of Rs 75,000 per month. The appointment is initially for three years and subsequently extendable to five years as per the terms and conditions of the contract. Scores of unemployed doctors from Kashmir province are understood to have rushed to appear in the walk-in interviews that were held at the paramilitary headquarters in the summer capital of Srinagar. Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 11: Despite being second highest producer of electricity in the country, Jammu and Kashmir has been getting lowest average power supply per day in the rural areas in comparison to all other states, except Arunachal Pradesh. According to the data available with Early Times, the highest producer of electricity across the country is Himachal Pradesh, which has the installed power generation capacity of 9809.02 MWs of power and had generated 35908.57 MUs of power for the year 2018-19.
