Srinagar, Jan 11: Just a few weeks after the railway wing of the Jammu and Kashmir Police offered job openings in the valley, paramilitary force is offering jobs for doctors in the same region while Jammu craves for jobs.
Officials said the paramilitary has offered as many as eight jobs of "General Duty Medical Officers" on contractual basis in Kashmir province.
The openings for the areas of Handwara, SinghPora, Baramulla, Kupwara, Panthachowk, SHQ Bandipora and Bandipora are offering lucrative jobs with salary of Rs 75,000 per month. The appointment is initially for three years and subsequently extendable to five years as per the terms and conditions of the contract.
Scores of unemployed doctors from Kashmir province are understood to have rushed to appear in the walk-in interviews that were held at the paramilitary headquarters in the summer capital of Srinagar.
Last month, the railway wing of the JKP had invited applications for services in Kashmir.

SRINAGAR, Jan 11: The recruiting agencies have halted the recruitment process as there is confusion whether to make selection process as per the existing rules in Jammu and Kashmir.
Post August 5 when Jammu and Kashmir's special status was abrogated and state was bifurcated into two union territories, the recruiting agencies are in a fix whether they can continue with recruitment rules of the erstwhile state.
