Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 10: The Supreme Court in its latest verdict on Friday asked the government to restore the internet services within a week in Kashmir, raising expectations that those at the helm may cast a considerate look at Jammu region where mobile internet continues to remain snapped since August 5. There is euphoria all across the landlocked valley over the Supreme Court’s direction with people expecting that the government may restore the internet services in a coming week. However, what continues to remain intriguing is the fact that the authorities of the erstwhile state are completely overlooking Jammu and all the plethora of hardships the people of the region are facing due to the blockade of internet in the region. The Supreme Court's ruling that came out on Friday has asked the Jammu and Kashmir administration to review within a week all orders imposing curbs in the union territory. Agencies Srinagar, Jan 10: Former PDP leader Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari has welcomed Supreme Court verdict on restoration of internet services in Jammu and Kashmir. In a significant ruling, the Supreme Court on Friday said that access to Internet is a fundamental right under Article 19 of the Constitution and asked the Jammu and Kashmir administration to review within a week all orders imposing curbs in the Union Territory.
