Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 20: Notwithstanding tall claims of the higher-up to ensure transparency and accountability in governance, utilization of Rs 200 crores sanctioned by the Union Government for the development of sports in J&K is not visible on the fields. Except for constructing buildings on the already squeezed playing fields, authorities have failed to utilize the whooping fund to improve sports infrastructure in J&K. Exactly one year on January 20, 2021, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha had promised that Jammu and Kashmir would witness a revolution in the sports sector. He promised that the UT Government was taking innovative measures to overhaul the sports ecosystem of J&K, ensuring modern sports infrastructure coupled with world-class training for the young sporting talent to make J&K a sporting powerhouse. One year has passed but nothing has been changed for budding sportspersons. Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 20: At least 12 cattle were stolen by a group of thieves during the intervening night of January 19 and 20 from a Gau Shala in the Lower Gadi Garh area.
