Decision of NCBC chairman to "enjoy hospitality" of CUJ raises many eye-brows

Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 30: Decision of the chairman of National Commission for Backward Classes (NCBC) Dr. Bhagwan Lal Sahni to enjoy hospitality of the Central University of Jammu (CUJ) and presiding over a function there has raised many eye-brows because NCBC had already initiated inquiry regarding purported manipulations of the Reservation Roster for recruitment of Teaching positions in University. In the month of November 2019, NCBC had started inquiry against Vice Chancellor of the CUJ for swapping of reserved positions with un-reserved and initiated inquiry into the matter. After receiving reports about violation of Reservation Roster in recruitment for teaching positions in the CUJ, the NCBC had initiated investigation into the matter. The National Commission for Backward Classes had directed the CUJ Registrar to send factual report along with the approved Roster Policy by the university in recruitment of teaching positions for further investigation into the matter. The government on January 25 issued an official notification in which it was announced that the Sher-e- Kashmir police medals awarded to police personnel for exemplary services shall be from now on called as Jammu and Kashmir Police Medals.
