Four-months passed after Centre’s approval, 5300 left-out PoJK refugees families yet to get relief
1/24/2020 12:00:23 AM
Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 23: Almost four months have been passed but 5300 left-out families from Pakistan occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) have yet to get relief packge which their counterparts in J&K have received. These left-out families are those refugees from PoJK who went outside J&K during 1947 holocast because they were not allowed to settle in J&K by the then state government headed by Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah. After implementation of President’s rule in J&K, Union Government on October 9, 2019 had approved inclusion of 5,300 DP families of Jammu & Kashmir-1947 in the rehabilitation package approved by the Union Cabinet on November 30, 2016. These families had initially opted to move outside the State of Jammu & Kashmir but later on return...
