Several leaders within the national conference- party where the former Chief Minister is a vice President- are up in arms against the condition of their leader, terming it deeply hurting and worrisome for them. EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Jan 25: Union Ministers winding up their weeklong tour of Jammu and Kashmir with a promise of development, peace and prosperity, has left the Kashmir centric leaders bewildered. An analyst while talking to Early Times said that a few Kashmir centric leaders, who during the past one month have become active again termed the visit of the Central Ministers as a “futile exercise” aimed at “hiding the failures” of the government. “Many leaders, whose bosses are still under detention, seem to be in a shock. Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 25: Contrary to tall claims of the higher-ups, the government has failed to act against the illegal encroachments along the major rivers as the encroachers enjoy political patronage. After imposition of Governor’s rule followed by bifurcation of J&K into two UTs, campaign has been started to retrieve encroached land in some parts of Jammu but encroachment on the bank of the river Tawi is going unabated.
