Tainted engineer of REW likely to face action

Avinash Azad Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 16: An alleged tainted engineer of Rural Engineering Wing (REW) of Rural Development and Panchyati Raj Department is likely to face action on the basis of the enquiry initiated against him by the Raj Bhavan. Highly placed sources informed Early Times that following Raj Bhavan’s intervention, the Secretary RD&PR Department, asked Joint Director Rural Development Jammu to submit an enquiry report into the allegations leveled against Executive Engineer, REW Udhampur, accordingly a report corroborating the allegations have been submitted to administrative department. It is pertinent to mention here that taking cognizance of a story carried by Early Times the Raj Bhavan vide order no. LGS-50/(NI)2020/1149, dated January 28,2020 had sought a report from in the matter from Secretary to Government (RD&PR). “The Raj Bhavan on 28th of January 2020 had sent a communication to Secretary RD&PR asking to submit a report into the matter. Jehangir Rashid Early Times Repor SRINAGAR, Oct 16: The COVID-19 recovery rate in Jammu & Kashmir reached 88 percent after 838 virus affected patients were discharged from different hospitals today. The positive cases reached 86,754 with 697 cases being reported today and the death toll reached 1,366 following eight fresh deaths.
