| Formation of Peoples Alliance: Kashmir centric dynasts again take Jammu ‘for granted’ | | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 15: Two days after release of PDP president Mehbooba Mufti, signatories of ‘Gupkar Declaration’ on Thursday named this group as ‘Peoples Alliance’ to intensify the struggle for restoration of pre August 5, 2019 position in J&K.
Although signatories of this ‘Declaration’ claimed that it is amalgam of various parties jointly striving to restore the rights and dignity of people of J&K, Jammu is missing from the ‘Alliance’ because these parties with Kashmir centric policies have joined this new group.
Kashmir centric parties be it NC, PDP, PC, ANC or others always ignored their Jammu based leaders in policy making. While there is no mass base PDP leader in Jammu, NC has many but party leadership preferred to avoid them. It appears these parties have once again taken Jammu for granted as these groups have been pursuing same practice since 1947.

Srinagar, Oct 15: National Conference (NC) president Farooq Abdullah on Thursday announced alliance with Mehbooba Mufti’s Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) after a meeting was held between the two parties. The alliance has been formed to restore the special status that existed in Jammu and Kashmir before the abrogation of Article 370 of the Constitution. Last year on August 5, the Centre scrapped Jammu and Kashmir’s special status.

Jammu, Oct 15: Congress Party has meticulously saved its skin by skipping the meeting of the Gupkar signatories which took place at the Srinagar residence of NC president Dr Farooq Abdullah on Thursday. The meeting was also attended by recently released PDP president Mehbooba Mufti.

In a letter to anti-graft bodies, a probe has been sought into alleged wrongdoings in the Corporation.

Jammu, Oct 15: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former vice-chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Kisan Advisory Board Daljit Singh Chib on Thursday alleged that his father, who had tested positive for COVID-19, died due to alleged carelessness of doctors and nursing staff of the so-called prestigious Board’s hospital here.
He said that his father was admitted in the hospital on September 24 and he died on October 12.
“Our people donated land for the establishment of the hospital but it has totally turned out to be a business enterprise. The only motive of the hospital is to make more and more money even during COVID-19 pandemic,” Chib told Early Times.

JAMMU, Oct 15: The Jammu and Kashmir government on Thursday ordered a new transfer policy for the government employees working in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir and said that transfer shall be ordered in April every excluding the teaching staff and transfers to Ladakh UT.
