Jehangir Rashid Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Nov 23: Justice Sanjeev Kumar of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court had through an order on 8-9-2021 directed the Jammu & Kashmir administration to allow the para-medical institutes operating in the union territory to carry out admission for the various courses in these colleges. In his order Justice Sanjeev Kumar wrote, “Having said that, I am of the view that the grievance of the petitioners can still be considered by respondent No.1 taking in consideration the following factors:- i) That the petitioners-Institutes are recognized by the Indian Nursing Council and have necessary infrastructure to conduct the courses of ANM/GNM. ii) That the petitioners-Institutes could not be accommodated by the BOPEE by making admissions to their Institutes due to poor response from the candidates seeking admission to GNM/ANM courses.” The order was passed by Justice Sanjeev Kumar on a petition filed by the Association of Para-Medical Institutes through its President Dr. Hafizullah Naik. Early Times Report Srinagar, Nov 23: Almost two weeks after a salesman of a Kashmir pandit shopkeeper was killed in old Srinagar, J&K Police says it has solved the case and arrested three accused. Suspect arrested in south Kashmir

Early Times Report Srinagar, Nov 23: A suspect was apprehended along with a pistol in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, an official said. A Central Reserve Police Force spokesman said the suspect was apprehended at Arwani bridge at Bijbehara in Anantnag. The CRPF did not disclose the identity of the arrested suspect. “He was apprehended by a joint party of CRPF and police at around 2.30 pm. A pistol was also recovered,” he added. Unauthorized absence: 2 teachers terminated in Kashmir

Early Times Report Srinagar, Nov 23: Jammu and Kashmir government has ordered termination of two more teachers from government services for on the charges remaining unauthorized absent for a period of more than five years. Official sources said that two teachers have been terminated from their services under Article 113 of J&K Civil Service Rules (Volume I) of 1956, taking the total number of teachers terminated during the past three days to six. Early Times Report Srinagar, Nov 23: Kashmir has seen an upsurge in the number of COVID-19 cases during the last two months, officials in the valley said on Tuesday. While there has been an upsurge in the number of Covid-19 cases across Kashmir in October -November, the Covid-19 growth rate has increased up to 170% in the Srinagar district. "Srinagar contributed to almost 55% of cases during October and November.
