What happened to Omar's bungalow vacation claim?
Former J&K CM turns mute over leaving official accommodation
11/7/2020 11:52:56 PM
Early Times Report jammu, Nov 7: Around two months have passed since the day National Conference vice-president and former J&K chief minister Omar Abdullah said that he would be vacating his Gupkar residence. However, it seems that Omar has forgotten what he had claimed. Junior Abdullah on September 9 this year said he would be vacating his government accommodation in Srinagar. He was responding to the media reports that claimed that Jammu and Kashmir administration has sent notice to Omar to vacate his government bungalow. Omar wrote a letter to the J&K administration and sought eight to 10 weeks' time for finding a suitable accommodation. He had shared the letter on social media and clarified that he is doing so on his own. " I will be vacating my government accommodation in Srinagar before the end of October. The point to note is that contrary to stories planted in the media last year I received no notice to vacate & have chosen to do so of my own accord," he had tweeted. Omar had also said that he has never held on to any government property that he was not entitled to an...

11/7/2020 11:52:42 PM
Early Times Report jammu, Nov 7: Even as some of the main regional political parties of Jammu and Kashmir recently pledged unity under the banner of the so called Peoples Alliance for Gupkar Declaration, two of the main constituents are acting like rivals in the PAGD. A few days after the parties decided to "work in unity" for the so called revival of the special status of Jammu and Kashmir, the National Conference and the Peoples Democratic Party are running parallel events. While Mehbooba Mufti's PDP took a lead to hold protests and to call a press conference, the very next day Omar Abdullah and his National Conference went for a similar move. On October 29, the PDP leaders led by Khu...

Residents are being registered but not getting health benefits
11/7/2020 11:52:02 PM
Early Times Report jammu, Nov 7: After the lapse of around two months, since Lieutenant Governor MK Sinha had announced Rs 5 Lakh annual health insurance cover for all residents of Jammu and Kashmir, the scheme is still a non-starter as residents are only being registered but none of them has been getting health insurance benefit under the scheme. The Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on September 12 had announced Jammu and Kashmir Health Scheme, which was intended to provide universal health insurance cover to all residents, in conjunction with Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, at the likely cost of Rs 123 Crores. However, after lapse of nearly two months, since the announ...
