Govt forgets Jammu celebrates Eid too!
Asks deptts to release payments under MGNREGA in Kashmir, omits Jammu
6/3/2018 11:30:45 PM
Early Times Report Jammu, June 3: Once described as two half districts by Mehbooba Mufti, now Chief Minister, Jammu division once again suffered major discrimination during PDP-BJP alliance, as Kashmir centric leadership forgot that people in Jammu too celebrate Eid. Few days back the state government had asked department to release payment against liabilities for various works done under MGNREGA, before Eid-ul-Fitr. But, unfortunately, the four major districts of Jammu division were deliberately ignored by the government while releasing funds. According to sources, in Jammu division, four districts have liabilities around Rs 262.81 crores for last three years but the PDP-BJP regime didn't clear it. "For financial years, 2015-16, 2016-17 and 2017-18, the Jammu district has liability of Rs 140crores against the material purchased by the department, similarly, district Samba has liability of Rs 20.92 crores, Kathua has liability of Rs 48.88 crores and Udhmapur has liability of Rs 53.03 crores during period, but no one bother about the 'stagnated' development of rural Jammu (di...
