Agencies New Delhi, July 18: Emphasizing on national security and new-age warfare, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said national defence is no longer confined to borders but has expanded towards space, cyberspace and economic and social sphere. Speaking at the Naval Innovation and Indigenisation Organisation (NIIO) seminar ‘Swavlamban’ at Dr Ambedkar International Centre here. Modi said, “National defence is no longer limited to borders, but is much broader. Therefore it is equally necessary to make every citizen aware of it. Now the threats to national security have also become widespread. The methods of warfare are also changing. Earlier we used to imagine our defence only till land, sea and sky. Agencies New Delhi, July 18: CBI has busted a mass rigging racket in NEET-UG 2022 exam and arrested eight accused including mastermind and solvers who were impersonating on behalf of candidates. The NEET UG 2022 was conducted on July 18, Sunday. Over 18 lakh candidates appeared for the exam. Early Times Report Jammu, July 18: An Army officer among two soldiers was killed in an accidental blast near the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir. Jammu-based Defence Spokesman Lt Col Devender Anand said that on Sunday night, an accidental grenade blast occurred, when the Indian Army troops were performing their duties along the LoC in Mendhar sector of Poonch.
