Thousands attend Police officer’s funeral; outrage in Kashmir against gruesome killing 9/13/2021 10:53:55 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 13: The whole Kashmir Valley is shell-shocked over the gruesome killing of a newly recruited Sub-Inspector Arshid Ahmad Mir, who attained martyrdom during a cowardly terror attack on Sunday. The participation of thousands of people in the funeral of Arshid is a clear indication that residents of Valley are fed up with bloodshed and destruction. It is the first during the last some years such a huge number of people have attended the funeral of a cop who was killed by the terrorists. Anger was very much visible on the faces of those who attended the funeral as a young police officer, who was recruited just two years back, was killed without any fault. As mark as respect to the martyr, thousands of people had gathered for the last rites of the Arshid Ahmed at his home in Kupwara on Sunday evening. Hundreds of people rushed towards his residence at Kalmoona in Ramhal belt of Handwara, district Kupwara after getting information about his martyrdom.
