Sham inaugurates Yamaha Showroom | | | JAMMU: Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Sham Lal Sharma, has reiterated the coalition government’s resolve to work for the upliftment and improvement of the living standard of the people living in rural and far-flung areas of the State. The Minister was speaking after inaugurating Chenab Motor Yamaha Showroom at Darkal Morh, Akhnoor here today. Sham said that government was committed to provide improved facilities to the people especially to the people living in rural and remote areas to uplift their economic status. He said that central and state governments have launched a number of welfare schemes for the people and asked them to come forward and avail benefits of these schemes. Sham asked the unemployed youth to venture into the private sector instead of hankering after government jobs which are limited. He asked them to avail facilities provided under self employment schemes and bank loans for establishing their own income generating units. He appreciated the efforts of the prop M/S Chenab Motor for opening the showroom and asked the owner to provide job in their firm to local youth. The Minister apprised about the different self employment schemes, especially designed for the rural folk are available under PMEGP and KVIB. He said that government was providing attractive incentives and subsidies besides providing marketing facilities in and outside the state. He stressed upon the youth to strive in private sector as it has huge scope for progress and growth. |
