Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 17: With the recovery of the stolen property valuing Rs 23 lakh, Police claimed to have solved seventeen theft cases besides made arrest of three burglars effective. The revelation was made by SSP Jammu Atul Goel in a press conference held at Police Station Channi Himmat here on Sunday. Addressing media persons, the senior police officer said that Police have arrested a gang of burglars who operated under the jurisdiction of Jammu City, South and solved 17 cases of burglary and theft. He further said that the solved cases include 10 of Police Station Channi Himmat, 4 cases of Police Station Gangyal and 3 cases of Police Station Bahu Fort, adding, three burglars have been arrested so far and hunt for the two more absconders is on. From the possession of the accused, police recovered 700 grams of gold, valuing Rs 20 lakh and other household and electronic items valuing around Rs 3 lakh. The arrested accused including Talwinder Singh alias Tanu son of Gurjeet Singh of Model Town Gangyal, Mandeep Singh alias Manni son of Baljeet Singh of Sector 3, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu and Deepak Kumar alias Deepu son of Chaman Lal of Model Town Digiana, Jammu. The accused who are absconding have been identified as Rajveer Singh son of Charanjeet Singh of H.No 81 sector 5, Model Town Gangyal and Charan Jeet Singh lias Channi son of Basant Sigh of Sector No 5, House No 81, Model Town Gangyal. The stolen property which is recovered including 700 gram gold, 3 batteries, 6 gas cylinders, one big Stabilizer, one bag, one brief case, one men clothe, one multiplug, one toaster, one photo frame, one inverter, 3 LCDs, one CPU,5 pillows, one camera, one lady coat and two jackets. The police officers who bust the gang of burglars and recovered the stolen property including SHO Channi Himmat Aijaz Wani, SHO Trikuta Nagar Chanchal Singh, ICPP Narwal Nayat Ali supervised by SDPO East Rafiq Manhas and SP South Rahul Malik.
