2 rape accused held, CJM directs police to submit compliance report

Kishtwar, June 14: Crime against women yet has not ceased as just few days after a minor girl was gang raped in Drabshala of Kishtwar District, two persons were arrested for allegedly committed a rape upon 14 year old minor girl in Doda forest here today. Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Doda has directed Station House Officer (SHO) Thatri to register FIR against the accused and submit the compliance report within next three days. As per the details available with "Early Times", the two accused identified namely as Jahan Mohammad s/o Mohammad Iqbal and Nisar Ahmed s/o Fazal Rehman both resident of Malna Bhalla of Doda district have been arrested by the police. According to sources, the rape victim along with her family members approached the court of Chief judicial Magistrate (CJM) where in her statement the victim alleged that some police officials are trying to strike a deal over the issue and thus forcing her to knock the doors of the court. In her statement before the court, the victim stated that the accused after finding her alone in a nearby field outside her residence overpowered her and committed rape on her. She further alleged that both the accused kept her hostage in a nearby forest area throughout night and in the morning both bundled her inside a vehicle enroute to Pul-Doda. She said when the vehicle reached near Police Post Kharra, she managed to get attention of a police personal who came to her rescue from the accused. After hearing the plea of the minor girl, CJM Doda U/S 156 (3) Cr.PC directed Station House Officer (SHO) Thatri to registered an FIR against the accused and submit the compliance report within next three days. Taking cognizance in this regard, concerned Police have registered a case FIR No. 39/2014 u/s 341/342/363/376 RPC against the accused. Meanwhile police team led by SHO Thatri Ravi Singh Parihar under the supervision of SP Doda swung into action and arrested both the accused. Further investigation is on in this regard.
