PRM warns Govt of dire consequences, if prolonged power cuts continue

Jammu, June 14: Warning the Government of Jammu and Kashmir of dire consequences for deliberate harassment of public by snapping electricity supply in Jammu Pradesh for prolonged time, Peoples Revolutionary Movement (PRM) castigated the government and especially the representatives of Jammu for their failure to act according to the situation and demanded immediate restoration of hassle free and uninterrupted power supply to the people.
Addressing various meetings in Jammu including those of advocates, PRM Leader Rajinder Jamwal, expressed his concerns and extreme anguish over unintentional and prejudiced approach of government by not providing basic amenities to the people of Jammu by snapping power, when Jammu is sizzling under extreme heat wave. He alleged that this approach could definitely be described as an reaction to the debacle of present coalition government in just concluded polls and said the present regime has failed to learn anything from its rout in the Parliamentary Election. Jamwal further underlined that voting for a particular party or a individual is the essence of democracy and anybody wreaking vengeance out of said voting pattern is really an enemy of democracy deserves to be outburst for the well being of society.
Jamwal further added that Jammu Pradesh despite paying 76% of the total revenue in the state is getting just 30% out of total share of electricity supplied to the state and this calls action of representatives of Jammu who are acting as mute spectators only. Exhorting people to launch an agitation against present coalition, he said if the government did not desist from their malafide attitude towards Jammu region, people should come to streets unitedly.
