Jagran felicitates CBSE, JKBOSE Toppers

Jammu, July 16: Continuing its endevour to strengthen the bond between its readers and In a bid to encourage the students for academic excellence, the Hindi national daily 'DainikJagran' today felicitated the outstanding students who have excelled in class X and XII examination conducted by CBSE and J&K BOSE this year
A special felicitation ceremony was organized here at K L Sehgal Hall Cultural academy in which large number of outstanding students accompanied with proud parents participated.
Prof MP Singh Isher Vice Chancellor University of Jammu was the chief guest while Chief Education Officer (CEO) Jammu TarsemLal attended the occasion as Guest of Honour.
At the onset of occasion chief guest and guest of honour accompanied with Editor (J&K) Edition DainikJagranAbhimanyu Sharma lighted the traditional lamp. In his welcome address Editor J&K DainikJagranAbhimanyu Sharma briefed the gathering about the various initiative undertaken by the organization as Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) which includes distribution of Rakhis to soldiers defending our frontiers besides awareness camps and even YuvaSampadak workshop to make children aware
of working and functioning of newspaper industry. He also congratulated the parents and students who have been shortlisted for the felicitation for their outstanding performances
Speaking on the occasion chief guest, VC JU Prof MP Singh Isher exhorted the students to 'dream big' and devote themselves to accomplish their dreams. He appreciated Host organization for talking a unique step to encourage the students and hoped this will go a long way for inspiring other students.
He however regretted the widening performance gap between the government and private schools and underscored the need to bridge this gap for betterment of down trodden society.
Guest of honour CEO Jammu also underlined the need to bridge the gap between the provate and government schools saying it seems the government schools have been reduced only to down trodden families.
Thereafter the special invites alongwith Editor dainikJagran (J&K) gave away the mementoes to the students who have excelled in Class X and XII examinations.
The students felicitated today include namely as Vivek Gupta, Akankasha Sharma, Avleen Kapoor, Sidhant Dubey, Nitika Kapoor, Diksha Mahajan, Diksha Vij, Arshdeep Kour, MuskanBakshi, Muskan Gupta, Abhimanyu Kalsotra, Vikram Grewal, Reha Bedi Suman and Vitika Balotra.
Principal Correspondent Dainik Jagran, Rohit Jandial while presenting vote of thanks to special invitees and gathering reiterated the resolve of the organization to encourage the students for their academic excellence. YogitaYadav conducted the proceedings.
