DIG Rajouri-Poonch reviews security scenario

Rajouri, Aug 27 : Director General of Police (DGP) Rajouri-Poonch range, Ashok Attri today chaired a meeting of Nowshehra Police Subdivision to review the security scenario in view of the ensuing Assembly elections in the state at Nowshehra here today.
The meeting was also attended by Mubassar latifi, SSP; Rakesh Kumar, ASP ,Nowshera; Pardeep Singh Gauria, SDPO and all the SHOs and Police post in-charges of the sub division.
After detailed discussions and review of crime cases including rapes and murders, AK Attri, DIG directed the concerned officers to ensure that cases are investigated in a proper manner and strict action be taken against the accused.
Important to mention that People of Nowshera and Qilla Darhal has raised fingers on the investigation of triple killings near Kalakot police station on July,27.
Police was of the view that constable Sanjay Kumar resident of Qilla Darhal and posted at Kalakot police station had killed two sisters before committing suicide with his official weapon at their residence. Sanjay wanted to marry the younger sister and was refused by the elder, wife of SPO posted at district police lines at the time of crime, and in a rage he killed both.
But family members and inhabitants of Nowshera, who also held protest recently at Nowshera, alleged that all the three were murdered by some unidentified persons as an empty bullet of revolver was also recovered from the spot by the forensic team. People have been demanding CBI investigation as they alleged that they have no faith in police investigation. DIG directed the police officers to gear up for the forthcoming Assembly polls and arranges accommodation for the security forces that will reach on poll duties.
