BGMS criticizes CM for ignoring border people | | | Early Times Report
RS Pura, Aug 27: State President of Bhartiya Gujjar Maha Sabha (BGMS) J&K Eshfaq-ur-Rehman Poswal, visited Joura Farm village in RS Pura Tehsil took stock of the problems of the people facing due to unprovoked firing by Pakinstan rangers. In a statement issued, Poswal said this is the only village along the International Boarder (IB) which saw direct assault on civilians, causing death of two village residents, Akram Hussain and Aslam Hussain. Having interacted with the Higher Secondary School in RS Pura where the villagers are residing in temporary relief shelters. Poswal said, "Pakistan has been carrying out a campaign of terror against Gujjars, Hindus and Paharies who stay along the border since 1947". The village residents informed Poswal that a compensation of Rs.1 lakh was given to the family which is not enough. Poswal demanded compensation for the victims along the line of SRO-43 policy. Poswal met Sushma Devi` Panch` of Gharana Panchyat in RS Pura who complained about the rude behavior of District Administration which she said did not provide relief facilities to the villagers at temporary shelter in Bal Asharam. Poswal also met DGP BSF while on tour and appealed to him undertake welfareness under Sad Bhavana Mission for displaced residents of the Border Village and after meeting with DGP, BSF met with Army Brigadier at Bhana Singh Stadium and thanked for the facilities provided to the displaced villagers. He alleged that apathetic CM has ignored the thousands of victims in Pakistan firing does challenging any possibility of peace and development which severely needed for J&K prosperity. |
