Hoarding that portrays Lal Singh bigger in stature than Modi, others
10/22/2014 11:13:24 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 22: A hoarding, that portrays ex-MP Lal Singh bigger in stature than Prime Minister Narender Modi and other central leaders - A Shah, J P Nadda, Jitendra Singh and MP Jugal Kishore -- has been the talk of the town nowadays.
The locals have raised objection over the hoarding, saying it amounts to the insult of the Prime Minister and other central leaders. They said due to the remarkable victory of BJP in the just concluded parliamentary elections, many turncoats and tainted politicians are seen humming around BJP high command to grab the party candidature from the Basohli constituency.
Some politicians, especially from Kathua tehsil, have a great temptation for the Basohli constituency because 12 patwars, 28 polling stations and 25 villages of Kandi belt of tehsil Kathua have always proved as a game changer for the outsiders. To allure BJP voters of Basohli, these politicians have been trying to devise ways and means to win over the masses who had rejected them in the last Assembly polls.
It is worth mentioning here that these politicians had never cared for the development of the constituency during their tenures.
The BJP leaders should take a serious notice of this hoarding and should take appropriate action for the insult inflicted upon the whole BJP cadre, people said.
It would be in the interest of the party to select a candidate from Basohli constituency who has a clean image and is educated and honest. The party should not repeat the turncoats and tainted politicians, they asserted.
