PG Diploma in Bio Informatics launched at JU | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 30: Prof. Mohan Paul Singh Ishar, Vice Chancellor University of Jammu released the Brochure of the Post Graduate Diploma in Bio-Informatics under Innovative Programme-Teaching and Research in Interdisciplinary at emerging areas of University Grants Commission (UGC), Government of India at the University of Jammu here this morning. The Brochure contains the detailed information regarding the Post Graduate Diploma in Bio-Informatics. The one year PG Diploma in Bio-Informatics will cater to the needs of Biologist as well as Computer Scientists. This will offer interdisciplinary knowledge of Bio-Informatics. Applicable fields of prior studies will be biosciences and information technology, or other relevant field. The course will focus on Genome and Proteome Analysis. The duration of the course will be one year and it will be of two semesters the selection to the course will be make through the entrance test. Among others present on the occasion were Prof. Manoj K. Dhar, Registrar, University of Jammu and Director, Department of Bio- Technology and Jai Kumar Sharma.
