Manmohan Singh to woo voters in state

Kishtwar, Nov 12 : Ahead of voting for 15 Assembly segments in first phase of election in Jammu and Kashmir starting from 25th of November 2014, the two main National parties, Congress and Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) are all set to begin high profile political campaigning in the state shortly. The star campaigners include Prime Minister, Narender Modi, former Prime Minister, Ministers, former ministers, MPs, Bollywood actress /actresses and Party Presidents . According to reports ", Both BJP as well as Congress have submitted the list of 40 star campaigners each to the Election Commission of India who are schedule to visit Jammu and Kashmir for election campaigning during five phase election. After serving his term as Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh has also decided to join the political bandwagon in the state to encourage the moral of state leadership who was in shock after facing 6-0 rout in parliament elections. According to the list submitted by the respective parties with Election Commission of India, BJP President Amit Shah, Prime Minister Narindra Modi, veteran BJP leader and former Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani, Murli Manahor Joshi, Rajnath Singh, Arun Jaitley Sushma Sawaraj, Nitin Gadkari, Ram Madhav, Shanawaz Hussain, Mukthyar Abbas Naqvi, Najma Haptullah, actress Hema Malni, Smriti Irani, Cricketer Navjot Singh Siddhu, Anurag Thakur, PriyaSethi, J P Nadda, V K Singh, Prem Kumar Dhumal are among the National level party leaders to campaign in the state; while Dr. Jatindra Singh, former Congress MP ChowdharyLal Singh, Former State President BJP Shamsher Singh Manhas, Party Chief Ministerial candidate Dr. Nirmal Singh, Former IGP Farooq Khan, Advocate Sunil Sethi, Kashmir based Muslim face SofiYousaf will head the party star campaigning from state quota. Former State President and sitting MLA Ashok Khajuria who was denied the ticket by the party on the bases of non performance also featured in the star campaigning list of BJP. Congress list has the names of Party President Sonia Gandhi, Party Vice President Rahul Gandhi, former PM Dr. Manmohan Singh, Ahmed Patel, MukulWasnik, Digvijaya Singh, Virbhadra Singh, Rashid Alvi, Anand Sharma, Sachin Pilot, Jyoti raditya Scindia, Salman Khurshid, actor Raj Babbar, Mukesh Agnihotri, ShobaOza, Bupinder Singh Hooda, Shakeel Ahmed, AmbikaSoni from central leadership while among the locals, State President Saif-ud-Din Soz, former Chief Minister GhulamNabi Azad, Raman Bhalla, InduPawar find their names from state in star campaigner setting aside the names of many local Congress stalwart Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand, TajMohudin, Peerzada Mohammad Syed, Sham Lal Sharma and others. In addition to BJP and Congress, former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and BSP SupremoMayawati, LokJanshakti Party leader Ram Vilas Paswan, IMM Asad-ud-Din Owasi will also held political rallies in Jammu and Kashmir in support of their respective party candidates. For National Conference Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Davinder Singh Rana, Ali Mohammad Sagar, Abdul Rahim Rather, Mustafa Kamal will be the star campaigner for party, while former Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah will miss the campaigning due his illness and for PDP former Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Syed, PDP President Mehbooba Mufti, MP Muzaffar Hussain Beigh, Tariq Hamid Qarra, Abdul RehmanVeeri, Peer Mohammad Hussain, NayeemAkther will be the star campaigner during two month long election period in the state.
