Two killed, five injured in separate road mishaps | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 12: Two persons were killed while five others sustained injuries during separate road mishaps reported across the Jammu region. Police sources said, "A man was killed while five others received injuries when the car they were travelling in hit a road divider at Nagrota while they were returning home after paying obeisance at Vaishno Devi." "The deceased has been identified as Ram Chander Shastri (70) son of Ram Parsad, police sources said, adding, "while identity of the injured have been established as Pawnesh Kumar (40) son of Ram Chand Shastri his wife Vijayata Sharma (35) and his son Ashirvad (9) of Panch Bhaktar road, Tripta Sharma (45) wife of Mahesh Chander Sharma and her daughter AditiKhajuria." Police said that the accident took place near Nagrota, when the driver lost control over the vehicle resulting in collided with road divider. Police sources said that Ram Chander died on the spot while other injured were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) for treatment. Meanwhile, a middle-aged man identified as Rakesh son of Suresh Kumar (50) of Qasim Nagar Narwal undergoing treatment at GMC&H was succumbed to injuries. Police said that he received injuries today in the morning after he was hit by a truck at Fruit MandiNarwal. Concerned police have registered cases in respective matter. |
