Make Udhampur an educational hub: Pawan Gupta 11/21/2014 11:07:34 PM Early Times Report Udhampur, Nov 21: Pawan Gupta independent candidate from Udhampur constituency continuing today said make Udhampur an educational hub. Addressing gathering Gupta promised to bring a central university at Udhampur. He further said that Udhampur is a perfect place for development of educational institutions being well connected to the rest of the country via railway and road. A central university brings with it students who in turn demand housing which helps push the real estate sector by providing jobs , rental incomes to the locals. Students demand recreational facilities and hence sports facilities get developed. "these institutions act as catalyst to the hotel and restaurant industries and the hotel and restaurant help in picking up the real estate sector besides increasing the demand for local agricultural produce"' said Gupta.
