URF condemns Union govt for not fulfilling demands | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Nov 21: United Refugees Front (URF) has warned to boom political woes if long pending demands of refuges are not met here today. While addressing the press conference on the behalf of URF, spokesperson of the front Advocate Sushil Gupta strongly condemned Govt of India's action for sending back proposed rehabilitation package recommended by the J&K Government for refugees of POJK 1947 Chamb, 1947, 1965, 1971. "Since all political parties have failed to mitigate our grievances and sufferings pending for 67 years and have ignored the POJK 1947", he said. Jagbir Singh, senior activist of URF launched scathing attack on Avinash Rai Khana MP and Prabari of BJP J&K for his statement that vested elements spreading canards about refugees' package. It beyond doubt that Ministry of Home Affairs Govt. of India has return the package recommended by the J&K State Government of India on the basis that West Pakistan Refugees are not covered by this package. Both the spokespersons said that Parabri of BJP is misleading the refugees on this issue. They said in India there is equality before law then how only valley migrants are being rehabilitated and others are being ignored. They alleged that BJP led union government has made direct attempt to sabotage the issue, it means that Government of India does not want to address the problems of our people. If we are not given the justice then we refugees those have right of voting will launch our candidates in J&K state on their own and will leave a major dent on the mainstream political parties. |
