JK Ranji cricket team creates history: Randhir Singh | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 11: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Chief Thakur Randhir Singh NCP today congratulated Jammu and Kashmir Ranji cricket team and its captain Parvez Rasool who defeated Mumbai. According to press release, Singh demanded that each player should be awarded Rs 10 Lakh and special award of Rs 25 Lakh to captain Parvez Rasool and 20 Lakhs to Man of the Match and youngest player Shubham Khajuria as there is lot of money available with the BCCI . Singh further condemned all the successive state governments who have got no vision for youth of Jammu and Kashmir. "the youth of the state have a natural aptitude for sports and have already established their credentials as national class capability in mountaineering, athletics", Singh said. The Sports Council of Jammu and Kashmir has always been managed by non sportsmen who have no sports experience and it should be strengthened, sports talents in the region identified rather early in age and the youth involved in the diversified sports. Singh regretted the successive state governments in Jammu and Kashmir have totally forsaken this important sector of sports and suggested the sportsman should be involved in the management of sports council. |
