DC Baramulla inaugurated NMPS 2/15/2015 11:29:34 PM Baramulla, Feb 15: National Mission for Protein Supplementation (NMPS) was today kick started at Baramulla. Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Talat Parveez inaugurated the scheme during a function organized by Animal husbandry department. NMPS is a scheme under the National Programme RKVY Under the scheme, a total of 318 BPL beneficiaries have to be covered in the district. During the inauguration ceremony, a pack containing Feed, Minerals and medicines for Cattle worth Rs. 6000 per beneficiaries was distributed among the beneficiaries. Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Dr. Mohammad Shafi Shalla and other Officials of Animal Husbandry department Baramulla were present on the occasion. The Deputy Commissioner termed the NMPS scheme a milestone towards encouraging animal husbandry industry in the district.
