NHR alleges new-recruitment policy attempt to spoil future of youth

Jammu, May 1: National Human Rights (Social Justice Council) State Unit highlighted bruning issues regarding New Employment Recruitment Policy, Relief and Rehabilitation for Farmer's and Flood victims
Addressing the media persons, executive director MI Zargar informed that in our country as on 45,90,68,921 such as Kisan 34.7 percent, Kissan Mazdoor 29. percent is big unit, 6.2 percent of small units 39.8 percent as others at least 6,65,275 working in different small units and unregistered area where is 29.3 crore labour's working with 65 percent Kisan labour working in this country.
"Provide grants for the labour class to build their houses, implement pension scheme and provide them education grant to their children and disabled persons, Write off arrears of their power bills increase grant in aid under the NREGA Scheme and provide job avenues for labours, " he added.
He further said that there is no social security cover for the 93percent population of the work force in the Jammu and Kashmir State and other Labour Law and Welfare Scheme in vogue a comprehensive legislation under building and other construction workers (Regulation of employment and condition of service Act 1996 was enacted). He stressed establishment of Technical University in J&K and cover under the coverage of beneficiary construction working under Rashtriya Swasthaya Bema Youjna.
He also said that the new-recruitment policy of Govt. by terming it an attempt to spoil the future of the youth of the state, It should be curtail in the salary of Ministers, MLA and MLC.
He appealed to Govt. to 'take effective steps on war footing basis to mitigate the sufferings of Working class and labour lower income group. A avoid violation of labour laws in J&K to give proper attention to the interest of un-organized working sector.
