Various social organizations, educational institutes celebrate Labour Day | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 1 : International Labour Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and fervour by various organizations, educational institutes and associations at different venues here today. Army Public School, Akhnoor was celebrated in special assembly with full aplomb to appreciate the tireless, hard working workers of this institution and paid tribute and thanking them for making the life of others comfortable day- after-day by accomplishing the jobs assigned to them. On the occasion, Pradeep delivered a speech; the comparing was being done by Talitha Philip. The junior students talked about 'People who help us' prepared by Jaswinder Kour and the senior school students presented a skit 'Salaam Majdoor ' which was being prepared by Vini Singh depicting how the absence of a maid could spoil the morning and cause the whole routine to go topsy-turvy unnerving the family members totally and the absence of a peon in an institution is almost unthinkable as it means a lot of mismanagement and chaos because they are the ones who run errands the whole daylong to keep things going. International Labour Day was celebrated in Air Force School, Jammu on the theme ' There is no work too big or small'. Gifts were distributed to the MTS. It was an endeavor on the part of the school to sensitize students towards all the members of the community. Vikesh Sandhal, Principal appreciated the efforts of all the MTS employees for undertaking all the assigned task with painstaking excellence. The NSS wing of Government Polytechnic, Bikram Chowk Jammu celebrated the World Labour's Day in the college. The Chief Guest of the function was Er. Arun Bangotra, Principal of the college who in his inaugural speech appreciated the efforts of all Class IV and labour class for their sincere efforts in performing their duties with full dedication and their contribution towards the society. He further said that to achieve a common goal everyone from bottom management to higher level should be involved and work hard in one direction. The Rashtriya Rifles located at Bhadarwah under the aegis of Counter Insurgency Force (Delta) organised a Free Medical Camp for local masses of Tehsil Bhadarwah on the occasion of World Labour Day, as part of humanitarian assistance programme on Dharamkot, Bhadarwah today. The camp was inaugurated by Officer Commanding Dharamkot Company and eminent people of adjoining areas. A medical team comprising of one Army doctor and one Nursing Assistance provided the much needed specialised medical cover to the ladies, children and elderly people during the camp. An international day celebrated amid number of labor employees of the SIDCO phase-1, Phase-2 and others at Rakh- Amb- Talli of the samba district with great fervor. On the eve of this day as already the PM "Narender Modi" Chief Labor Commission of India has paid the well wishes to the labor class of the world and recommended for the good wage and earning policies in behalf of them throughout their message. Labour Day was celebrated in the premises of JK Public School Kunjwani during a special assembly. On the occasion, the Principal, S K Singh, appreciated the work of the ground staff and on behalf of the school management, gave them special gift packs for putting up their best of the duties. The purpose for organsing this day was to make them feel proud. students presented a melodious song dedicated to labours.on this occasion speech is also made by the students of middle wing and students of pre- primary wing presented a skit on the different occupation of labour. Staff members who give special contribution to this assembly is Shweta Gupta Shivali Pathania Mohit, Radhika and all the teachers of pre primary wing. Principal Ravinder Kour expressed her gratitude to the staff members , students and helping members of the school. Activists of National Mazdoor Conference today celebrated " May Day" as Sankalp Diwas with enthusiasm and fervor. In this connection a rally was held here, where the large number of NMC activists were participated. Addressing a well attended rally of NMC activists President of the National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) Subash Shastri emphasizing the need to adopt a comprehensive policy to regularize the services of 61000 daily rated workers working in the various departments of the State Govt. till March 2015 so that new regularization could become operational from June 1, as a Gift" to the families of the working class, hoping that a decision in this regard would be taken in the first cabinet meeting in summer capital after Darbar move. Jammu Sanskriti School today celebrated Labour Day by organizing a cricket match between Students Staff, VS Drivers & helping staff of the School. All the helping staff and students enjoyed the cricket match, Activity Sheet was done with puzzle words. Special Prizes in cash and refreshment were part the celebration for the participants Rohini Aima Principal cum Vice Chairperson congratulated the winning team and also spoke about the importance of each and every member associated with the School .
