Jammu, May 23: On the occasion of Shahidi Parv of Guru Arjan Dev Ji langer was organized at main road R.S.Pura. MLA RS Pura Dr. Gagan Bhagat was present on the occasion. While remembering the 5th Guru and first Martyr of Sikh faith Guru Arjan Dev Ji, Dr. Gagan Bhagat described him as a Guru of Sikhism, as he completed the construction of Amritsar city and also founded other cities such as Taran Taran and Kartarpur, besides being a visionary, he was brave, a true patriot, and under his period the Sikh panth steadily extended in Punjab and its surrounding areas. The locals who were present on the occasion lauded the efforts of Dr. Gagan Bhagat in promoting communal harmony. Prominent among those who were present included Sr. BJP Leader Dr. Karan Bhagat,Panch S. Vikramjeet Singh, S. Hardev Singh, S.Harbhajan Singh, S.Avtar Singh, Natha Ram, Inderjeet Sudan and others. |
