Court denies bail in gang rape case

Jammu, June 18: Presiding Officer Fast Track Court YP Kotwal rejected bail application one Shamas Din who was booked by the police in gang rape case.
According to the police case that in the evening May 5, 2015 while victim was on her way from shop to her house, accused Kousar Hussain and applicant Shamas Din had kidnapped her and raped with her. On this police registered a case.
Presiding Officer Fast Track Court YP Kotwal after hearing both the sides observed that prosecutrix court not e subjectd to treatment which was below her dignity nor she be subjected to physical exploitation at the hands of a person, who outraged her modesty. With these observations Court observed that the investigation is at initial stage and in case accused be released on bail, he will jump over the bail and hamper and tamper with the prosecution witnesses. Moreover release of the accused at this stage and their remaining outside will cause deleterious effect on the minds of general public and thwart the cause of justice. (JNF)
