| Septuagenarian commits suicide | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 18: A septuagenarian today allegedly committed suicide at his residence in Krishna Nagar by setting himself ablaze after pouring kerosene on him. A case in this connection stands registered at concerned police station. "The deceased has been identified as Jagdish Raj (70) son of Durga Dass of Krishna Nagar, police sources said.
Police sources said that after getting information, police reached to the spot and shifted the body to the mortuary of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H). Police sources said after getting autopsy conducted upon the body, the same was handed over to family members for last rites.
Police sources said during preliminary investigation it came to light that the deceased took such an extreme step in frustration due some family problem.
Meanwhile Police have registered a case in this connection and further investigations are on. |
