| PYC stages protest against Government, demands AIIMS for Jammu | | |  Early Times Report
Kathua, July 22: Pradesh Youth Congress activists today staged protest demonstration against government and demanded establishment of AIIMS in Jammu.
According to press release, led by Dr. Umshankar Pandey National Secretary Incharge, Youth Congress JK and Pranav Shagotra State President organized a massive protest today at Kathua against the Modi-Mufti government for their failure to keep the pre poll promises and for the anti-Jammu policies of the present day government.
Satish Sharma, Paramjeet Singh, Rajveer Singh Pankaj Basotra all General Secretaries and Vinay Sharma President LYC Doda Kathua led the protest demonstration and addressed the gathering.
Hundreds of protesters raised slogans against the BJP-PDP government and expressed their anger against the failure of government to address the issues of public concern including AIIMS for Jammu, reducing the time period of B.Ed. Course duration for Jammu province students and about the government's inability to announce special package for Jammu and Kashmir.
Speaking on the occasion Umshankar Pandey National Secretary Incharge, Youth Congress said that BJP-PDP government has lost the moral ground to remain in power, as both the parties have failed to keep the pre poll promises made with people of state in general and with the people of Jammu region in particular and added that state is playing with careers of lacs of educated youth by introducing an anti youth requirement policy, by adopting double standards in the matter of course duration of B.Ed. Course in Jammu and Kashmir regions. He further said that the government has failed to get any special package for the flood victims and other effected people of the state.
He urged the Chief Minister to reduce the course duration of B.Ed. degree from two years to one year in Jammu region as it is a one year course in Kashmir region. He also demanded a special package for the unemployed youth of the state.
Addressing the protestors, Pranav Shagotra State President PYC demanded the immediate announcement of AIIMS for Jammu region and he declared that if government will not make an announcement in the next few days, lacs of youth congress activists of Jammu region will come on the streets to intensify their fight for the cause of Jammu.
Either government should do justice with people of Jammu region or the BJP-PDP shall remain ready to face the wrath of the people of Jammu. He said that BJP has been exposed in Jammu and elections are heldtomorrow, BJP will not be able win even a single seat from Jammu province. |
