Sports Council loses Marker Surjit

JAMMU, July 22: Senior most Billiards Marker of the J&K State Sports Council, Surjit Singh Baloria died after he met with an accident (electric shock) at his residential quarter at MA Stadium Complex, here today.
A dedicated staffer of the Sports Council, Surjit is survived by wife and two young daughters. Hailing from Mullowan Sarthal in district Kishtwar, Surjit's last rites (cremation) will be performed at Jogi Gate cremation ground, here tomorrow at 10 am.
"Surjit was guide to a number of senior billiards and snooker players, who represented the state at the national level. He was polite and cool gentleman marker of the Sports Council, who remained focused to his work during all these years," said manager of the State Sports Council, Satish Gupta while sharing his experiences with the departed soul.
