Two hours strike observed in support of FMPHW | | | Early Times Report Jammu, July 22: The Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF) Jammu today observed two hours strike in entire Jammu division in support of female multipurpose health workers who are without salary for the last 16-18 months. As per press release, the work remained paralyzed in Directorate of Health Services Jammu and other offices located in Jammu Division. A large number of employees gathered in Madam Shashi Bala Memorial Park in DHS complex Jammu and shouted slogans for release of salary in favour FMPHWs working under 2211 Family Welfare Scheme. While addressing the gathering, Sushil Sudan, President JKMEF urged the authorities to take urgent steps for release of salary of employees working under 2211-Family Welfare who are virtually at the stage of starvation due to which they have been facing immense hardships and have not celebrated any festival including Eid festival. He further urged that transfer orders of FMPHWs of District Kathua to far flung areas which is clear cut victimization be revoked forthwith. He further said that in case salary of these employees is not released at the earliest, then JKMEF will be forced to start agitation in the shape of indefinite strike. Similar strike was observed in other districts, block headquarters. |
