Early Times Report

Rajouri, July 22 : Internet services have been suspended in Rajouri town even as curfew restrictions continued for the second consecutive day after tension gripped the district over the torching of an alleged IS flag by some people. While peace-loving Rajouri people have assured to maintain peace in the district, the authorities were taking no chances.
"The curfew is continuing. The decision to revoke it will be taken after reviewing the situation later," Rajouri SSP Haseeb Mughal said. The authorities suspended the internet services on Tuesday evening though there was no official communication issued in this regard. Army too had staged a flag march on Tuesday.Meanwhile, some leaders apologised for the burning of the flag, saying the activists were not aware that it carried a holy verse. The apology was accepted by the people. Sources said curfew would be relaxed tomorrow if the situation permitted.
