Vijaypur Aug 26: Atleast 23 people got injured while eight of them seriously when a mini bus turned turtle near Chak Salarian in Ramgarh area this morning. According to police, a mini bus on its way from Ramgarh to Vijaypur met with accident near chak village when driver lost his control over the vehicle resulting the vehicle to turned turtle. "Around 23 passengers sustained injuries, eight of them seriously," said police sources. They said, "The police with the help of locals immediately rushed to the spot and started the rescue operation. The injured passengers were rushed to Sub Distict Hospital (SDH), Ramgarh and Accidental Hospital, Vijaypur, from where eight seriously injured patients including three students were referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H), Jammu for advanced treatment, said a police official. Among those who have been referred to GMC&H Jammu included Shilpa Devi (18), Ajay Kumar (22), Neha Devi (18), Raj Kumar, Sunita Devi, Sardari Lal, Jasbir Kour and Shanti Devi (all resident of Ramgarh- Vijaypur). Meanwhile Sub District Magistrate (SDM), Vijaypur, Rajneesh Pargal along with Sub District Police Officer (SDPO), SS Sambyal visited Accidental Hospital, Vijaypur to enquired well being of injured The concerned police have registered a case under relevant sections and investigations are on. |
